Students of Department of Business Management and Commerce of Desh Bhagat University recently conducted an industrial visit to Preet Tractors located in Nabha. The objective of the visit was to provide the students with practical insight into the manufacturing process, operational strategies and business management practices of a leading tractor manufacturer in Punjab. The tour started with Preet Tractors MD Hari Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Director, Jagroop Singh, Assistant Vice President and Harpreet Singh welcomed the students. He informed the students about the history, vision and mission of the company and gave detailed information about the agricultural machinery. He also said that adoption of new technology increases productivity and agricultural efficiency. On this occasion, the students saw various stages of production, from organization lines to quality control. This experience helped him understand the intricacies of supply chain management and the importance of maintaining high standards in production. They learned how modern technologies, such as automation and data analytics, help improve operations. The highlight of the industrial visit was an interactive session with industry experts, who shared their experiences and knowledge about the challenges and opportunities in the agriculture sector. Students also discussed market trends, customer preferences and the importance of sustainable practices in modern manufacturing.
