Desh Bhagat University organized special lecture on Awareness of De-addiction

Drug abuse remains a critical public health concern globally, affecting individuals, families and communities. In response to this pressing issue, Desh Bhagat University is proud to announce its comprehensive initiative aimed at tackling drug abuse and promoting de-addiction. Under the mission of making a drug free society, an awareness event on the  prevention of the Drug abuse & Drug De-addiction has been organised in DBU in association with Punjab Police. The Special awareness lecture has been delivered by the DSP Amloh, Rajesh Chhiber, among the students of the BAMS and faculty members at Desh Bhagat Ayurveda campus. Team of Punjab Police led by SHO Amloh, Balbir Singh also accompanied the event. Dr. Kulbhushan, Director, Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Mandi Gobindgarh also expressed his views about the same.
Dr Zora Singh Chancellor DBU said, ''believes in the power of collective action to combat drug abuse and support those affected by addiction. Our initiative is a testament to our commitment to fostering a healthier and more resilient community." This initiative underscores DBU's dedication to addressing societal challenges through proactive education, compassionate support and collaborative partnerships. By uniting efforts across sectors, we can create meaningful change and offer hope to those impacted by drug addiction. On this occasion Dr.Amandeep Sharma, Vice-Principal, Dr.Nishant Paika, Assistant Professor, Department of Kriya Sharir, Mr.Satyam Kumar along with the other staff members were present.
