Chance of heavy rain in Punjab from tomorrow, yellow alert issued

The weather will change again on July 27 in the state. The Meteorological Center Chandigarh has issued a yellow alert for rain on Saturday. Meanwhile, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many parts of Punjab. Earlier on Thursday, there were clouds in some districts of Punjab and there was light rain at some places. Ludhiana received 32 mm and Bathinda 13 mm of rain. Light drizzle also occurred in some districts. District Pathankot was the hottest in the state with a temperature of 39.6 degrees Celsius. Similarly, 39.4 degrees Celsius was recorded in Bathinda, 38.1 in Ferozepur, 38 in Gurdaspur, 37.5 in Faridkot, 37.2 in Amritsar and 34.8 degrees Celsius in Ludhiana. The temperature was 1.9 degrees Celsius higher than normal.
