Woman dies due to PRTC bus overturning, more than 20 passengers injured

A bus of PRTC Faridkot depot overturned on Tuesday afternoon in Pathrala village near Dabwali town on Bikaner National Highway. A person died in this accident while more than 20 passengers were seriously injured who were admitted to hospitals in Dabwali and Sirsa. It is being told that a terrible accident has occurred on the under construction Bathinda-Dabwali National Highway. Due to the heavy rain, the bus driver lost control of the bus and it overturned on the road, in which a woman Jaswinder Kaur, a resident of village Lohara, district Sri Muktsar Sahib, died.

According to the information, bus number PB-04V-3044 of PRTC Faridkot depot was coming to Bathinda from Dabwali in Haryana. At around 2.30 pm on Tuesday, when the bus reached the under-construction concrete road in Pathrala village, heavy rain suddenly started, due to which the bus driver lost control and the bus overturned on the road. After the incident, the police reached the spot and took the injured to Dabwali and Sirsa government hospitals for treatment. The police have started investigating the incident.
