Community Outreach Health Awareness activities by DBAC&H Mandi Gobindgarh

Mandi Gobindgarh, 2 September 2024: DB AC&H organized specialized Community Outreach Health Awareness activities towards Corporate Social Responsibility by conducting field visits by the consultants of Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College & Hospital under the guidance & help of Dr. Kulbushan (Director DBAC&H), Dr.Jyoti H Dhami (Medical Superintendent DBAC&H).The consultants spread awareness about health and different diseases for a healthy living. They visited nearby catchment villages such as - Machhrai Kalan, Rajgarh Channa, Bhambri ,Patton, Alipur, Majra, Baraichan, Sherpur Majra, Tibbi, Raiawal, Malowal, Khanaura, Bhagwanpura, Dhangheri etc. Spoke with the MGNREGA WORKERS, Primary School Children, Local Villagers , Daily wage earners etc. regarding their health issues and spread awareness about health , nutrition and timely disease identification.
Consultants from different specializations like Pediatrician, Eye , ENT Specialist, General Surgeon , Panchakarma specialist visited the catchment area 10 villages for Health Awareness talks. Schools were visited and children were addressed about nutritional requirements, proper diet, deworming requirement and also made aware about other health related issues by Dr. Prachi Sharma (Pediatrician DBAC&H). Eye /ENT disease related awareness was provided and the children were made aware to timely inform about any hearing loss or eyesight weakness by Dr. Sanamika (EYE/ENT Specialist). Panchakarmas Consultant Dr. Urvi spread awareness about chronic painful joint conditions like Arthritis, Ankyloysing Spondylitis, Cervical Spondylitis  and the usefulness and effect of Panchkarma therapies for the same.
Dr. Poonam (General Surgeon DBAC&H) spoke about the treatment of Piles, Fistula, Fissures by Ayurvedic Surgery Ksharsutra and its effect without undergoing the knife and much early and better pain relief. The consultants jointly spread a word about the different facilities and services available at DBAC&H and also explained the importance of the result oriented Ayurveda Therapies in chronic diseases, immunity boosting, general health , Diet and nutrition.  Dr. Zora Singh Chancellor and Dr Tajinder Kaur Pro-Chancellor emphasized the need that everyone in this sector works together to fight the common enemies’ disease. Instead of bringing in distinctions based on private or public, urban or rural, allopath or traditional medicine, we should all join hands and work together to make an impact. The Main objective of  the awareness drive was to make sure people are getting the healthcare at the right time and seeing the doctor enough before a small health problem turn serious.
