Students of Desh Bhagat University visited Verka Milk Plant

The Students from the Department of Business Management and Commerce, Desh Bhagat University in collaboration with Training and Placement Cell of the University organised an insightful industrial visit to the Verka Milk Plant in Patiala. The visit, organized as part of the University’s commitment to providing practical exposure to its students, was aimed at offering a comprehensive understanding of dairy production processes and industry practices. The students, accompanied by faculty members, Dr. Baldeep Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Management and Commerce and Mr. Kapil, Training and Placement cell were given a guided tour of the Verka Milk Plant, a leading dairy production facility renowned for its high-quality products and state-of-the-art processing techniques. The tour included visits to various sections of the plant, including milk reception, quality control, processing, packaging, and storage areas. During the visit, the students were introduced to the advanced technologies and methodologies employed in dairy production. The plant’s emphasis on maintaining stringent hygiene standards, ensuring product quality and implementing sustainable practices provided valuable insights into the operational aspects of a large-scale dairy facility. Dr. Rajni Saluja, Head of the Department of Commerce and Management said that Desh Bhagat University remains committed to providing its students with opportunities to gain practical experience and enhance their academic learning through such industry visits.
