Rehana Ameer Visits Desh Bhagat University, Discusses Collaborative Initiatives with UK Universities

Desh Bhagat University (DBU) proudly welcomed Rehana Ameer, the first Indian-born woman to be elected as an independent Councillor in the City of London Corporation’s 950-year history, to its campus. Rehana Ameer, a prominent businesswoman and public policy leader with a passion for healthcare, education, technology, and international trade, engaged in meaningful discussions with DBU’s management team. During her visit, Ms. Ameer met with Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, Pro Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Vice President Dr Harsh Sadawarti, and various directors of the university to explore potential collaborative initiatives between DBU and UK universities. Their discussions centered around shaping public policy to promote a sustainable future in education and healthcare. These efforts aim to create impactful partnerships that will benefit both Indian and UK students, with a focus on innovation and shared knowledge. Expressing her enthusiasm for the collaboration, Rehana Ameer said, “I am deeply impressed by Desh Bhagat University’s vision for advancing education and healthcare through international partnerships.
