Administrator Gulabchand Kataria gave green signal to 60 new buses of CTU in Chandigarh.

60 new buses purchased by Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) are ready to ply on the roads of Chandigarh on Tuesday. The operation of these buses will pave the way for better connectivity to Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and other neighboring states. Many new routes will be started, which will directly benefit the people.

Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria flagged off these buses during a program organized at ISBT-17 on Tuesday. These 60 buses will run on 31 routes. Many of which are new and the number of buses has been increased on some old routes. Trial runs on these routes have been successful.

CTU has specially designed these new AC buses keeping in mind the demand of long routes. These buses will run from Chandigarh to many popular destinations as well as many other new routes. According to the officials, these buses will provide more comfort and facilities to the passengers. These buses will have facilities like modern AC system, comfortable seats and mobile charging ports. Apart from this, a GPS tracking system has also been installed in every bus. With this, the passengers will get information about the real-time status of the buses.
