After recovering over Rs 35 crore in cash, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Sanjeev Kumar Lal, the personal secretary (PS) of Jharkhand Minister Alamgir Alam and his servant Jahangir Alam on Tuesday morning, an official said. Meanwhile, sources said that the financial probe agency is preparing to question Congress Minister Alamgir Alam about this. He will soon be summoned by the agency.

A 35-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by an autorickshaw driver in southwest Delhi’s R. K. Puram area on Monday, an official said. The deceased is identified as Mukesh Kumar Ranwa, a resident of Sector-4, R. K. Puram.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized 19.5 kg of gold valued at Rs 14.04 crore from the locker of a cyber fraudster maintained in the name of his mother with the Ballabgarh branch of Indian Bank in Haryana's Faridabad on May 3, said an official on Monday. The financial probe agency said the fraudster, identified as Punit Kumar a.k.a Puneet Maheshwari, a resident of Moti Nagar in the national capital, was arrested on April 3 from the Arrival Hall, Terminal-3 of IGI Airport.

In a shocking case, a one-day-old baby was thrown out of an apartment in Kerala's Kochi, said police on Friday, adding that a family is being questioned in the connection. The CCTV visuals which went viral, show the baby, wrapped in a packet falling. It was a passerby who first spotted the body lying on the road.
